Minister of Health, dr. Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih, MPH, Dr.PH, accompanied by Director General of Medical Care, dr. Supriyantoro, Sp.P, MARS visited four patients affected by a fire caused by the use of LPG accidents treated in the Burn Unit of Central Pertamina Hospital (RSPP), South Jakarta on Tuesday, August 24, 2010.

"The patient that we see today use the LPG accident patients, there were four patients are two women and two men" Minister of Health said.
Minister of Health added, accident patients admitted to the use of LPG is Leni Harlina, 25 years with her daughter Lia Agustina, a resident of Kebon Jeruk, just three days in the RSPP, AGIT, 22-year resident of Tambora is a patient transfer from Tarakan Hospital, but his mother was treated in RSCM, while another patient is Syamsul Hadi, 53-year resident of Kayu Manis, already two weeks being treated at RSPP.

In general, the most severe wounds around 19%. Treatment is conservative, meaning that not do the operation but there are some planting operations of the skin. "In time perhaps the longest three weeks, they'll be healthy again, Insyaallah," said Minister of Health.

Director of RSPP, dr. Mustofa Fauzi said, in treatment part also involves some psychiatrists and psychologists because in burn patients, they have psychological trauma.

Minister of Health explains referral hospital for patients due to the use of LPG accidents not only in-hospital RSPP but some hospital that could cope with severe burns.

RSPP Director added Pertamina will cover each case at hand. Pertamina will cover treatment in synergy with Ministry of Health, meaning if there is Jamkesmas, cost could be shared.
