Minister of Health, Dr. dr. Siti Fadilah Supari, Sp.JP(K) reconfirmed she never said that swine flu is made by human, as mentioned by France News Office (AFP) on Tuesday (28/4). Minister asks mass not to worsen situation related to this swine flu by speculating, but making prior of the responding efforts on the virus distribution. Although the case has not been reported in Indonesia, government has made some anticipation to prevent the virus. Since the spreading of avian influenza in 2005, government has made responding efforts and some anticipation for the influenza outbreak. Government prepares many supporting facilities, including health center, referral hospital and laboratory, as well as establishes networks of influenza surveillance, communication among related parties and trainings for health personnel and volunteers. "We have a good management in responding avian influenza and have had the simulation twice. These can be also implemented to anticipate other diseases, including this swine flu," said Minister. She ensures that government still has enough effective oseltamivir anti virus for avian influenza and swine flu caused by influenza A subtype H1N1. People must be able to prevent the virus distribution by implementing clean and healthy life behavior, such as covering mouth and nose when sneezing and coughing, no spitting in any places, washing hands after having contact with animal and going to doctor when having influenza symptoms. In addition, influenza patient must be always wearing mask for not infecting other people. For people having had travel to swine flu infected country, they should be check their health to health facility if they get symptoms of fever, cough, cold and difficulty in breathing.
