To overcome the health problems caused by catastrophic eruption of Mount Merapi, Indonesia’s Minister of Health provide supports include 8 breastfeeding counselor   people in 4 point displacement (Lembugrejo, Source Rejo, Chess Harjo, and Rusmanda), breastfeeding counseling and education to serve mass at 11 points with the breastfeeding material , clean and healthy lifestyle, and Environmental Health. In addition, monitoring the logistical breastfed meal and formula milk and mobilizing the 85.5 tons of breastfed meal to the province of DIY, Sleman sub district, Bantul sub District, Gunung Kidul sub district, Magelang sub district, Boyolali sub district,  Klaten sub district, Sleman posts on the main grip, GOR Maguwoharjo posts, and a youth center post. Ministry of Health together with the Provincial Health Office and local districts continue to monitor health problems in the location of the eruption of Mount Merapi. Some health posts have been established as the efforts of health services to refugees 442 post with details of 80 posts in the province of Yogyakarta (DIY) and 362 posts in the province of Central Java. While the Health Human Resource Development and Empowerment Board has also prepared  Health Engineering Poly (Polytechnic) to be mobilized and prepared D4 personnel as a mental counselor in camps, then will join the Mental Health Team. Others Team namely Health team of MOH Development and Research together with BBTKL were analyzing the impact of volcanic ash on health.

Other health effort that will be carried out in refugee camps, among others, health promotion, screening schedule the execution of the nutritional status of children under five and the next stage pregnant mothers, do measles vaccination by 5000 targets in the province of DIY, implement rehabilitation for the refugees by establishing trauma centers (psychology) and object measles immunization response, preparing the MOH field hospital with the location of Magelang Mental Hospital, and conduct plague disease surveillance by Directorate of Disease Control and Environmental Health.

Ministry of Health has also sent logistical support in the form of consumable mask which were 428,000 pieces, a cloth mask that were 10 boxes, breastfed meals as much as 16 tons, medical equipment and medicines to Dr. Sardjito, and operating expenses amounted to 500 million.
