Thursday morning (25/4), in the peak activities of World Malaria Day Commemoration 2013 in Jakarta, the Indonesian health minister, dr. Nafsiah Mboi, Sp.A, MPH, accompanied by Director General of Disease Control and Environmental Health Ministry of Health, Prof. dr. Tjandra Yoga Aditama, Sp (K), MARS, DTM & H, DTCE, symbolically handed over logistical assistance for malaria control to the Head of health office from all provinces in Indonesia, which is represented by the Head of Health Office of Bengkulu, Hendarini, BSc, and representatives of the Provincial Health Office of East Nusa Tenggara, dr. Felicianus Payoeng Pira.

Malaria is an infectious disease caused by Plasmodium parasites that live and breed in human red blood cells that is transmitted by females mosquitoes (Anopheles). Malaria can affect all people, both men and women and all age groups; infants, children or adults.

Today (19/4), the Minister of Health, dr. Nafsiah Mboi, Sp.A, MPH, launched the Safe Market from Hazardous Materials at Cibubur Market in East Jakarta. The event was initiated by National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Ind: BPOM) as part of the implementation of Law No. 8 of 1999 on consumer protection, consumer rights where there is very related to the market that is safe from hazardous materials. Present at the event the Minister of Trade Gita Wirjawan, head of the BPOM, Dra. Lucky S.Slamet, M.Sc. East Jakarta Mayor, Drs. Transmitted by Krisdianto, M.Sc.

Tuesday night (2/4), in the activities of the Hospitality Night of National Health Workshop (Ind: Rakerkesnas) 2013 for central regional, Minister of Health of Indonesia, dr. Nafsiah Mboi, Sp.A, MPH, presented three awards to the head of the provincial health office achievers in the achievement of targets for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) through a program of nutritional or maternal and children health, namely DI Yogyakarta, South Kalimantan and Bali.
